The Story Behind Coral Academy

As parents, we constantly struggled to find the right classes for our kids. The process felt exhausting—sometimes it would take an hour just to find a class that lasted an hour! And every time we wanted them to try something new, we had to start all over again.

But what frustrated us most wasn’t just the time spent searching—it was the realization that even after all that effort, many of the options were still missing something. Yes, they were educational, but were they really preparing our kids for the future?

Too often, the focus was on traditional subjects, but what about critical thinking? Creativity? Problem-solving? Communication? These aren’t just “extras”—they’re essential. They’re the skills that empower kids to adapt, to innovate, to lead. In a world that’s evolving faster than ever, knowing facts isn’t enough—kids need the ability to think, to question, to create.

With backgrounds in education, entrepreneurship and technology—and having studied at institutions like Stanford —our team knew there had to be a better way. We’ve built products, led teams, and solved complex problems in our careers, but nothing felt as important as solving this.

And that’s when the idea for Coral Academy came to us.
